2020 was just….I have no words. While I have absolutely no romantic notions that 2021 will magically be better, I can still refresh, and set some 2021 intentions that only I can control.
To say this year has been hard would be an understatement. I know I’m not alone in this sentiment, but I personally felt insanely uninspired, frustrated with the state of our social/political climate, and to put it simply, overwhelmed.
I can only speak for myself, but this year felt sort of like I was on auto pilot, struggling to stay sane and inspired especially when it came to my blog/social accounts. I was trying so hard to produce content to please others, that my creative well felt as if it had dried up.
Having to create content specifically to stay on “brand” proved to be absolutely exhausting and insanely constricting. One day, I fell in love with an item one and ended up not buying it because it wasn’t “on brand”. In that moment I realized I had completely lost touch with the reason behind this page. I created this space as a way to be creative, share things that spark joy, and have fun. Three things I realized I hadn’t been doing so successfully lately.
That being said, my intention for 2021 is to have FUN. It’s impossible for me to not stay on “brand” when the brand is literally just me being me. With that in mind, you may see tons of different content on here moving forward. If its fun, or sparks joy, I am doing it.
