Break out the Hunter boots and the corduroy, it’s time to hit the apple orchard. Living in Florida I feel like I’ve gotten cheated out of fall for the past 20+ years of my life. That being said I’ve definitely made up for the lack of fall by taking an annual fall trip!
What fall trip wouldn’t be complete without a stop at an Apple Orchard? My first time going was last year to the Adorable Mad Tom’s in Vermont, you can read the post here. This year we headed into Maine to see some foliage, and eat one too many apple cider donuts. We stopped at Thompson’s Orchard just outside of Portland, Maine.
After editing the photos from the day I realized I wore almost the exact same outfit this year as I did last year. I’m officially deeming this my go-to apple orchard outfit. My skirt is actually the exact same one from J.Crew factory just in a different color. I got both skirts on major clearance last year. I’m so happy J.Crew decided to bring them back this year, so that I can share them with you guys! I’ve linked them both below along with some corduroy pants if you’re not a huge skirt person.
A corduroy skirt is an essential fall wardrobe piece in my opinion and nothing pairs more perfectly with a corduroy skirt then Hunter Boots. My Hunter Boots are my go to shoe for any Fall/Winter Activity. I have never spent full price on mine. Believe it or not my first pair is from the thrift store, and my second pair was found on final countdown at BJs for $10!
I haven’t been able to find them quite that cheap online, but I have linked a few clearance styles below if you’re dying to shop now! You can almost always find a pair for as low as $60 if you’re not too picky about the color.
My blouse this year is actually from Talbots spring catalog. I love incorporating old pieces into my new outfits, and seeing what I can come up with. The blouse is still available on Talbots, but I’ve also linked a more “fall” version above!
