Ok guys, I think this might be my best kept secret: the best hairspray above all hairsprays. Two years ago I was in Tallahassee with my girl Kelly, attempting to get some fall inspired photos. Tallahassee is perfect for this with the large brick buildings, natural forest background, and garnet and gold themed photo spots. What’s not perfect? The 95 degree heat and 100% humidity in the dead of October.
We were determined and got up early to get ready and try to beat the heat (laughable I know). While rushing around the apartment I frantically looked under Kelly’s cabinet for hairspray to try and help my curls last longer than the walk to the car. I grabbed the first thing I saw: Aussie Instant Freeze Hairspray. Skeptical as I was, I then sprayed the heck out of my hair. Little did I know, I had found the greatest hairspray EVER, and little did Kelly know, she had it under her cabinet the whole time.
We took photos for over 3 hours in the heat, and our curls barely moved. To this day, this is the only hairspray I buy, and use it before every photoshoot and event I go to. The best part? It’s under $5!
Of course all hairspray has its limits. For example, it won’t hold on extreme conditions like a boat ride or a rollercoaster. If you’re looking for the perfect hold for a day out, trust me this is your new go to.
Photos were taken last week in the 90 degree south florida heat, and as you can see my curls were perfectly intact! Dress is from H&M and comes in a few prints! It’s the same style I had last year and wore to death. Im wearing a size small, and have a bit of room!
