I love to travel. I am always up for a weekend trip, to pretty much any of the 50 States. It quickly became easier for me to tell people what weekends I will be in town vs. the weekends I won’t be. Of course I have favorite travel places, and quickly found myself going to them frequently rather than branching out to try something new. In 2018 I went to New York 5 times!!
In order for me to accomplish anything I have to set some type of tangible (and trackable) goal. So I decided: I would see 30 states before 30 and 50 before 50. I somehow wrapped my friend Josh into sharing this goal with me and thankfully we’ve already both been to a lot of the same places.
Since setting my goal I’ve been to 8 new states in 2019 alone! Hitting a grand total of 22! I have a little under 5 years left to hit 30. Here is where I’m at so far! I don’t have blog posts on all of these states (some of them were checked off during my pre blogging days), but I will link the ones I do have!
- Florida
- Georgia
- South Carolina
- North Carolina
- Louisiana
- Kentucky
- Tennessee
- Virginia
- West Virginia
- Maryland
- Rhode Island
- Massachusetts
- New York
- Pennsylvania
- New Jersey
- Vermont
- New Hampshire
- California
- Texas
- Nevada
- Colorado
- Kansas
I also found the best way to track my progress with the most adorable scratch off map on amazon. Each time you visit a state you get to scratch it off and reveal the state flower! There are tons of adorable options on Amazon if flowers aren’t your style, but we all know they are definitely mine.
I can’t wait to keep accomplishing my goal, and would love to hear any recommendations!
