Emerald green is everywhere this season. I didn’t realize how much I loved the color until it started popping up everywhere!
I never thought that a silk slip dress would be something I would feel confident in as it is slightly out of my normal style comfort zone, but something kept dragging me back to this dress from lulus.
When I finally got the courage to buy it, of course it was sold out. I religiously checked throughout the day and then boom it was in stock – only one small left! I checked out as quickly as possible and prayed that the small would fit.
I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived in the mail and the fit was practically perfect. I’m not saying this is the best quality dress in the world, but for a statement piece like this under $50 it wasn’t too shabby! For size reference, I’m 5’8 and normally wear a size 4. The small was definitely a perfect fit – and by perfect I mean I should be careful with the Christmas cookie in take.

I guess the moral of the story is to sometimes step slightly out of your style comfort zone ( only if the dress is returnable ). The dress is sold out but I found a few dupes: option 1, option 2, option 3
