It’s that weird transitional season where you’re not sure if you should be wearing fall colors or commit to all of the holiday styles… I mean thanksgiving isn’t even here yet, seems a bit weird to break out the Santa suit. If you’re like me and like to hold on to fall just a little longer, but are still excited to bring on the holiday sparkle, I’m sharing 3 looks and tips perfect for the transitional season!
Add some sparkle
Tweed is the perfect fabric for fall/winter. Whenever I think of the holidays I instantly think of tweed. My favorite blazer is tweed with shades of blue and brown, with a hint of sparkle for the christmas season. For me blue is a year round color, how you style it just changes!
Add a pop of color
So maybe its not time to go full Christmas colors, but incorporating a scarf with a touch of red or green to contrast against a more nuetral fall outfit is the perfect transition. There are tons of holiday plaid scarves out there right now, but my favorite is my new monogrammed one from Lands End! (would also make an awesome gift).
Accessorize
Accessories are everywhere this season. Statement earrings, bold shoes, and of course the most popular trend the top knot headband. I recently fell into this trend and I am not going back. J.Crew has a huge selection of solid colors, and depending on how far you’re leaning into the holiday spirit they even have a red plaid!
