Last week I had the opportunity to travel to Dallas for work. By some almost unbelievable coincidence my fellow blogger friend happened to be in town the exact same week. Each night we ate way more food than I should admit, and found some really cool places to visit in Dallas.
The first night we went to Torchey’s, which hands down has the best queso I’ve had to date. Full disclosure I’m easily impressed by queso; I mean melted cheese is always the answer.
The second night we started at the blue goose cantina for the deal of a lifetime on $2 margarita’s. After that we walked down to the Truckyard where Kelly and I both finally caved and tried our first Frosé. Embarrassingly enough we were big fans. For dessert we headed to Frost Bite creamery where we both tried rolled ice cream for the first time. The staff was so nice and it was definitely worth the trip! I wish I could say this was the last food stop of the night but we finally made our way to burger house where we shared an entire plate of the most amazing fries and tater tots.
Wednesday night we went to Ferris Wheelers. This is hands down my favorite stop because they have a mini Ferris wheel in the back by the bar! You can sit and eat amazing bbq and then go for a free Ferris wheel ride to watch the sunset on Dallas.
Goat Rodeo was right next store where we stopped for a sugar overload. We were feeling adventurous and ordered the goat balls. The name is extremely misleading, but they are actually fried brie and brown sugar coated in powdered sugar and blackberry compote. The staff was extremely helpful and even surprised us with their fried pecan pie. We all agreed this was definitely the best dessert we’d had.
On our final night we met up for drinks at the Statler where we took in the gorgeous city view at their rooftop pool bar and sipped on Strawberry Basil drinks. This was the perfect way to end the trip. I can’t wait to go back! For those of you following for the fashion and not the food, I’ve linked both of our full trip outfit details below!
