Before you continue reading this post I would like to inform you that I know absolutely nothing about makeup. That being said I decided to write a blog post sharing some of my personal favorite nonsensical makeup and skin care products.
I recently decided to be a real adult and actually start caring about my skin. Moisturizing has become a must in my everyday routine, and Clinique has so far been my favorite. I have extremely dry sensitive skin, and the facial soap and dramatically different moisturizer are the perfect combination.
I was blessed with extremely dark circles that seem to plague me no matter how well rested I am. I’ve struggled with finding under eye concealer for years, mostly because I was too afraid to try anything. The most amazing Sephora employee helped me find the perfect match, with the hourglass concealer stick. I love how lightweight it is so that you can still see my freckles!
I also have extremely pale lips. This paired with my dark circles makes for an amazing zombie look, but a not so great everyday look. I love finding lipsticks that are a more natural color and do not feel sticky or flaky. The fuller fig chubby stick from Clinique and the Nars lipstick pencil are the perfect shades and look more natural when applied.
Mascara and nude eye shadows are pretty much as far as I go when it comes to eye makeup. On the rare occasion I’m feeling dangerous I will attempt to put on eyeliner. The only eyeliner styles that seem to work for me are the thin marker kind that leave little room for error and make perfect lines.
As you can see overall, my makeup choices are all over the place. I hope you’ll check out some of my other favorites below, and let me know if you have any suggestions!
