I live about 45 minutes outside of Miami, but I typically cringe at the thought of going to visit. Traffic is terrible, finding parking is a nightmare, and embarrassingly enough I am terrible at parallel parking. Naturally, the only thing that gave me the desire to go was food. I had heard about the Salty Donut hundreds of times and seen the drool worthy Instagram photos, so I finally decided to make the journey. I went with two of my good friends which made the traffic more bearable, and surprisingly parking was not terrible at all! We were in the Wynwood area filled with unique artwalls and tiny shops.
We couldn’t decide on a flavor so naturally we got an entire box of doughnuts to try, and they did not disappoint. Shortly after we continued what I affectionately named our eating palooza, and headed over to Morgan’s Restaurant for Brunch.
Morgans’s had the cutest outside bar and the best mimosa’s perfect for a sunny Miami Sunday. A beautiful spring day in Miami roughly translates to a sweltering hot day where sweat is a part of the outfit. My dress was perfect for a blisteringly hot Florida day because it was loose and airy and the fabric dried quickly. This dress is actually on sale right now at J.Crew Factory so make sure to check it out!
A day spent eating good food is a day well spent. What are some of your favorite brunch places?
